Yunnan is a varied province, found in the southwestern part of China, consisting of high altitude mountains, meandering rivers and beautiful lakes. Wild tea trees can still be found here. Apart from its namesake type of teas, Yunnan is also where the fermented Pu Erh teas were originally created.
This is a delicious fusion of Pu Erh tea, ginger and lavender and when combined it creates an earthy, spicy blend with touches of floral notes.
Due to its geographical location and climate, Yunnan is often compared to Assam teas because it produces a similarly strong flavour.
