Kagoshima Prefecture, located at the far south end of the Kyshu Island, is characterised by its 11 active volcanoes and a numerous natural hot springs. The humid sub-tropical climate is ideal for tea production, making Kagoshima the second largest tea manufacture in Japan. The green teas originating from this region are marked by bold and rich flavour.
