Celebrate National Organic Month with Wellness Teas

In the month of September and beyond, we look to encourage our beloved tea friends to eat, drink, use and choose organic teas & products within their daily lifestyle. Organic has long been recognised as working with nature, as opposed to against it, with products designed and made using the most environmentally friendly farming and production methods as possible.

Camellia’s Tea House takes sustainability and organic produce seriously – where possible we use organically sourced ingredients to create wonderful wellness and fusion teas for professional performance in health and skincare.

Many researchers have stated that drinking three or more cups of tea a day is as good for a body as drinking plenty of hydrating water and may even have extra health benefits due to the healthy levels of anti-oxidants and benefits derived from the herbs, spices and flowers in our range of wellness teas.

In this Organic September month and current Autumnal Season, our tea recommendations are wellness teas which been designed by Camellia’s Tea House using homoeopathic and herbal medicine principles, many of them to target specific ailments, which have been created using wholly organic wellness ingredients from responsible and sustainable resources.

The main ingredients of these wellness teas are:

Rose is renowned as being an unrivalled beneficial flower for overall skin improvement, cellular renewal, plus also being helpful for overall soothing and hydration.

Organic Lavender: Lavender is well known as an aromatherapy element that supports the mind and body in terms of promoting relaxation, alleviating stress and improving concentration. It is also great for deodorizing rooms to create an aroma of ambience and calm.

Camellia’s Tea House in Kobe Hankyu British Fair 2020

Once again, Camellia’s Tea House had the privilege of attending the British Fair Spring 2020 held in the heart of Kobe. In-mid March, our staffs landed at the British Fair 2020 at Hankyu Department Store in Kobe, Japan to exhibit our range of tea-infused preserves and bespoke teas, especially the ‘Kobe” blend.

Kobe Hankyu Special Blend is a bespoke black tea, exclusively designed for Kobe Hankyu by Camellia’s Tea House. This beautiful tea is a combination of black teas from India (including, muscatel Darjeeling and strong & malty Assam) and a hint of Chinese black tea from Yunnan. It’s a bold and well-rounded tea with a rich body and very subtle hints of smoke, which pairs exceptionally well with the famous Kobe beef and teppanyaki dishes.

Throughout the fair, Miss Olamide Somade – Manager at Camellia’s Tea House London skilfully showcased the process of British scone making utilising Camellia’s Earl Grey Black Tea. Our customers could enjoy freshly baked Earl Grey infused scones with a pot of tea in our London inspired tearoom.

Here is a little look back at some moments from the scone workshop at Kobe Hankyu British Fair 2020.

July Newsletter – There is no better time to polish up your iced tea making skills!

Dear tea lovers,

The summer season is upon us with the school holidays just around the corner and there is no better time to polish up your iced tea making skills! I love to prepare iced teas for outdoor parties and also for my children because iced teas are really healthy, full of flavour and the perfect accompaniment to any outdoor activity. I often prepare an iced tea in the evening and then decant this into my reusable water bottle before I leave for work in the morning – it’s a lovely way to stay hydrated with healthy drinks during the day.

We have been having a lot of fun creating delicious and easy to prepare iced teas and we have described these on our website:

I hope everyone enjoys the sun and if you are in Bloomsbury, we would love to see you at the tea house!

Most of our artisan teas are hand-made by us in London

Following the discovery of the different teas, everyone had to solicit their imagination to create their own signature drink. Strawberries, rose petals, cucumber, ginger, honey… as much topping as they wanted! Even though everyone was new to tea, their results were incredibly impressive at the end…PHOTO-2019-06-23-20-02-44

Afternoon Tea Of The Year Award 2019

We are proud to have been the sponsor of The Afternoon Tea Of The Year 2019.

APP_4398

Friday the 15th of June, Camellia’s Tea House have been honoured be the tea sponsor and partner of the Afternoon Tea of the Year awards which took place at the Westminster boating base, in London.

For the second occasion of the Afternoon Tea Of the year, 12 hotels from all over the UK were competing to present their signature afternoon teas. Each afternoon tea has been judged on the criteria of the taste, the presentation, and the service.

We had the chance to discover all the fantastic creations, from the classic afternoon tea to the most extravagant one. The most difficult part for everyone was to stand out from other competitors by the taste and creativity but still stick to the traditional afternoon tea where you can enjoy scones with jam and clotted cream. Yet, all the entrants succeeded perfectly and each menu was designed to combine each tea flavour with food.

By the end of the day, the Best Afternoon Tea of the year has been revealed and we discovered Pennyhill Park Hotel as the winner.
